Come along to the Māoriland Maara on Friday 13 May at midday to make up some delicious chutneys/relishes/pickles/kassundi!
We provide company, guidance, opportunity and ingredients for making delicious preserved kai like our Nana’s used to.
We will be using maara produce and other seasonal surplus (we have a lot of autumn pears, feijoas and tomatoes !) for group cooking.
We have a community building kaupapa and this collaborative cookery gives people a chance to teach and/or learn in a supportive environment.
We welcome experts and novices with open arms! Manaakitanga is what we do.
Bring your small-medium jars and lids and any seasonal surplus kai to use.
