Te Mahi a te Kaiwhakatangi Pūoro – Music Industry Skills Workshop

FREE Music Industry Skills workshop for rangatahi 10-17 years.

Digi Aotearoa and Vox Dawn are a combination of seasoned Māori musical artists. They are passionate about sharing their journey and skills with rangatahi. They will set up their amps, and their guitar, keyboard, base and drum set and play some of their original compositions and some covers.

Rangatahi will learn the fundamentals of the music industry that would include things like song writing, honing their craft, setting up gear, advertising, doing gigs, learning about the law of the music industry, how to protect themselves, and ways they can work as a full time musician. All of this from a Māori perspective.

Finally they will be taught some skills and be given an opportunity to use the instruments and microphones to practice performing.

Kai o te rā nui (lunch) will be provided.
