Hāngī Pants

As the mists rise from the land of Tauranga Moana. Three cousins Heedz, Hemi ( James) and Hakopa (Jacob) reminisce out in the fields while April plans a tangi (funeral) for her beloved Tawera. Albeit the usual Marae (Maori meeting house) antics, April is not prepared for an unexpected caller. The entire whanau (family) are surprised when Maybelle the flashy ex-flame of the departed arrives to pay her respects and is met with a distasteful welcome. Refusing to back down Maybelle and April battle it out through a heated karanga (Maori welcome) until they are shut down by Aunty Tira, the growly Nan. However, inside the wharenui ( Maori house) the drama continues to unfold. Despite the tapu (sacred) setting the feuding rivals cross the line between mourning & moaning. Suddenly the scene escalates as the pair are shocked to see the gorgeous Charlotte standing at the pa (village) gate. Their beef cast aside, April and Maybelle leap up to oppose the glamorous rival.
