Māoriland Charitable Trust – Rangatahi Strategy Positions
Te Uru Maire is the rangatahi strategy of the Māoriland Charitable Trust, it aims to grow the next generation of Indigenous storytellers in Aotearoa by giving rangatahi Māori access to the tools and skills to create their own stories and to connect with Indigenous storytellers worldwide.
Māoriland is currently seeking candidates for four new positions within Te Uru Maire.
M.A.T.C.H – Māoriland Tech Creative Hub
In July 2020 Māoriland Charitable Trust will open M.A.T.C.H – the Māoriland Tech Creative Hub. If you are passionate about creative and emerging technologies and growing the success of rangatahi Māori then we want you!
M.A.T.C.H Programme Manager
The MATCH Programme Manager will support the Kaiwhakahau Hōtaka in the implementation and delivery of M.A.T.C.H – the Māoriland Tech Creative Hub. M.A.T.C.H (Māoriland “Ahi” Tech Creative Hub) is a tech-creative learning centre for rangatahi Māori in Ōtaki and the Kāpiti Coast.
This is a new position that the chosen candidate will be encouraged to develop and make their own. The role is open to candidates within Ōtaki and the wider Wellington region able to travel to Ōtaki on a regular basis.

M.A.T.C.H Facilitator
The M.A.T.C.H Facilitator will support the MATCH Programme Manager and Kaiwhakahau Hōtaka to deliver M.A.T.C.H workshops alongside the Rangatahi Co-ordinator and Specialist Facilitators. M.A.T.C.H workshops are open to rangatahi aged 12 – 24, the MATCH Facilitator will be the lead facilitator for rangatahi participating in the programme.
The aim of these workshops is for rangatahi to achieve micro-credentials in key creative technological fields.

Rangatahi Relationships Co-ordinator
We are looking for a relationships co-ordinator to work between the Māoriland Charitable Trust and rangatahi, their whānau, kura, and schools.
You will work with the Kaiwhakahau Hōtaka and Kaiwhakaū Hōtaka Hononga to be the primary point of contact between the Māoriland Charitable Trust, rangatahi and schools across Aotearoa. This role will focus on enrolling rangatahi in Māoriland programmes and participation in the Māoriland Rangatahi Film Festival.
You must be extremely self-motivated, be based in the wider Wellington region and able to travel to the Māoriland Hub, Ōtaki and to schools around the region.

He Paki Taketake Co-ordinator
He Paki Taketake is a sound studio based at the Māoriland Hub for the reversioning of animated films into te reo Māori. He Paki Taketake Co-ordinator will assist Te Tumu Whakarae and Kaiwhakaū Hōtaka Hononga to co-ordinate the project which involves the translation and recording of film works into te reo Māori.
The role is open to candidates within Ōtaki and the wider Wellington region able to travel to Ōtaki on a regular basis.
