Māoriland is a part of One Good Kiwi – a new app to give your favourite charities a share of $100,000
Māoriland is excited to be part of One Good Kiwi – a new free app created by Vodafone NZ with one goal in mind, to secure the futures of our rangatahi and give back to the communities in Aotearoa.
Each month One Good Kiwi lets New Zealanders decide which organisations get a share of a $100,000 donation fund.
‘One Good Kiwi gives you the money, you choose where it goes’
For Māoriland, these funds will support our rangatahi programmes delivered across Aotearoa.
By giving Indigenous rangatahi the ability to express their voices through film, animation, music, and more – it enables Indigenous stories to be told by our own people.
Māoriland’s rangatahi workshops are part of Te Uru Maire – our rangatahi strategy that aims to:
- Give voice to rangatahi Māori and support them to tell the stories that matter to them and their community.
- Create employment opportunities for rangatahi and their whānau through the activities of the Māoriland Charitable Trust.
- Provide a nurturing and supportive pathway into high-value work in the screen industry.
- Ensure that rangatahi are rights’ owners and key creatives.
- Connect rangatahi globally through screen storytelling.
