Te Ara Toi – Hiphop/Hītokitoki classes for children, rangatahi and pakeke with support from Manatū Taonga
Caitlin Sanson, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu, is a respected choreographer at the Levin Performing Arts Society. She has been a hiphop dancer and dance teacher for over 10 years. She is also a trained secondary school teacher. We are excited to have her running Hītokitoki / Hipihopi classes within a kaupapa Māori framework.
Caitlin will be choreographing some Hītokitoki (Hiphop) to be performed in our end of term show alongside our Toi Whakaari (Drama) ākonga.
This term the tamariki and rangatahi will collaborate to create a unique show based on Matariki and Puanga.
Hītokitoki is free for tamariki and rangatahi but you must enroll to attend.
The pakeke class is $5/class or $30/term. (This can be paid directly into this bank account with your name and Hītokitoki as a reference: Māoriland Charitable Trust: 06-0241-0702847-04 Or you can bring cash for the koha box
