Te Ara Toi – Pikopiko Whakaari/Drama classes with support from Manatū Taonga
Pikopiko is an after-school Toi Whakaari/drama class for tamariki and rangatahi (aged 5 – 14) held at the Māoriland Hub.
Pikopiko is led by trained actors and teachers. During these workshops, tamariki and rangatahi will learn performance, and storytelling skills within a tikanga Māori framework.
This term the tamariki and rangatahi will collaborate to create a unique short music video – with a focus on creating a strong and simple narrative to complement the chosen song (from Aotearoa).
It’s perfect for those who are interested in a creative career in the performing arts and film & tv industry, or for anyone interested in trying drama out for the first time.
