If you want to learn more about how the healing properties of Papatūānuku can help your mind, body and spirit, join us every Thursday night in December at the Māoriland Hub for these Rongoā Workshops with Jo Hakaraia-Olsen.
An informative series of four workshops to assist participants in maintaining good health with the support of rongoā Māori over the Summer months. Bring a loved one or friend along. Spaces are limited, open to those aged 18+.
Jo Hakaraia-Olsen is the Rongoā practitioner, medicine maker, educator and founder of Te Waka Rākau.
Rongoā is an art. It’s a creative expression of the natural world. It’s using all of the senses to be able to bring balance into the individual, whanau and the wider community that surrounds them. This includes te taiao ( the environment). Rongoā is about maintaining balance.
