Each March the Indigenous world comes together in Ōtaki, Aotearoa (New Zealand) to celebrate Indigenous screen storytelling at Māoriland Film Festival, the largest Indigenous film festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

From March 18 – 22 2020 Māoriland Film Festival will once again present amazing films from all parts of the world with the theme of Me Reretau – Be in Balance. These are stories that seek harmony in an increasingly discordant world.

Held in Ōtaki on the Kāpiti Coast, the 7th annual Māoriland Film Festival will present over 120 films and 84 events from 92 Indigenous nations.
