MFF2026 – Industry Programme Announced
Following the announcement of 111 films from 130 Indigenous nations, Māoriland Film Festival 2026 now confirms its Industry Programme for 24–28 March in Ōtaki.
Running alongside the public screening program, the Industry Programme brings together Indigenous filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, funders and creatives from Aotearoa and around the world for five days of focused connection and exchange.
This year’s focus is clear: international co-production, premium production at scale, the realities of our current screen ecosystem, and the exchange of knowledge across generations.
Through wānanga, curated producer meetings, broadcaster and funder updates, and structured networking moments, the programme creates practical space for strategy, collaboration and next steps.
With a record-breaking line-up on screen and a purposeful industry gathering alongside it, Māoriland continues to serve as a meeting ground for Indigenous cinema, where relationships are strengthened and the future of our storytelling is actively built.
