The Ainu are the Indigenous people of
Japan. Hokkaido, the northern island of
Japan, was previously called Ainumosir,
or ‘Land of the Ainu’. This documentary
was filmed in Biratori town in Hokkaido,
where many people with Ainu roots
still live
